Nutritional Survey for Working Females at a Factory


Abstract
For the purpose of the be*.ter dietary management and to emphasize of impor¢¥:^nc~l it nutrition education for 949 woman workers a . .`.Ile dormitory of wig fac¢¥;o*y in Seoul, the nu,: 1¢¥:¢¥.or..cl survey was conduce l for saven days from Augus¢¥: 131:n to 20¢¥:h of 1969.
The survey included food and nutrient intakes, physical measuremer¢¥:, c¢¥.inlcal findings and bioci emical measurement were conducted for the randomly sampled 44 subjects.
According to the survey results, their heights was under the standard a,zd the 821,00 of the to-al subjects was the a .-e ranges from 16 years to 20 ye¢¥ars old.
Their daily menu was rot planned properly and the concept of 6 basic ford groups was no¢¥.: u::i_ ze in ;:heir rrenu planning. The bnianced meal should be empi2asized in this, facto_y.
Caloric z and protein intakes are low compared wi¢¥:h :he recorrmended also vance and espzcial¢¥.y ar_:ria¢¥, protein intake is low.
Fat intake is only 8. 8 grams Ter capita per day. Vitamins and minerals ir.,ake are also low. Clinical and biochemical survey indicated vnrious vitamin deficiencies and an^mia which is mostly to the iron ulsufHc:ency.
